Monthly Archives: December 2011
It’s so hard to believe another year has come and gone. 2011 gave birth to my second book, Tales of an Animal Communicator ~ Master Teachers. Although the animals whose stories are shared in it waited a long time for it’s arrival, I think they’ll agree it was worth the wait. I was blessed to work with many wonderful animals and their people in 2011. While some were ready to make their transition back to Spirit, most others chose to remain with their people. Being able to help animals and people better understand one another is so rewarding. Enhancing their relationships through better understanding gives me such satisfaction. I must admit, though, that I feel my most significant contribution happens while assisting individuals that are beginning their journey back Home. To be able to help at this difficult time is a gift that I cherish.
2011 allowed me to return to what I consider the most beautiful spot in the world, Banff & Jasper Parks in Alberta, CAN. I returned to my Blue Ridge Mountains (also beautiful) renewed from two weeks bathed in the most spiritual & healing energy Mother Nature has to offer. I felt blessed to be able to visit there once again.
I want to thank everyone who has allowed me to assist them with their animals’ challenges this past year. I also want to thank those who have felt guided to purchase Tales thereby helping me make donations to my local Humane Society, Noah’s Wish, and The Wild Horse Sanctuary. I am filled with gratitude. I look forward to working with many more animals and their people in 2012 fulfilling my mission to help heal the human-animal bond. I hope 2012 brings you everything your heart desires in an easy way. May your New Year be healthy and joy-filled!
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday. May it be quiet, all that you hoped for, and spent with those you love. Hana, Saba, and I are spending the rest of Christmas Eve putting the final touches on my new artificial tree. Finally laid the old one from my farm to rest. It served me for well over 12 years! Unlike the last two Christmases in my NC mountains, this will not be a white one. Having Christmas dinner with dear friends at a lovely place in Blowing Rock; the Green Park Inn. I’m so grateful that those Christmases spent alone are behind me now. Merry Christmas and ho ho ho!
My column, Horse Tales & Teachers, just posted on “StableWomanGazette.com.” My column was suspended for two months while I finished the publication of and began promotional work for my new book, Tales of an Animal Communicator ~ Master Teachers. Please meet a good friend’s Quarter Horse filly, ZZ, and learn what she taught me in The Missing Piece. http://stablewomangazette.com/articles/the-missing-piece
I want to take this opportunity to thank Marlene Chapman for the wonderful interview questions yesterday on her show, “The Urban Mystic Hour.” If you couldn’t catch it live, here’s the link to the podcast. You won’t be disappointed. http://feeds.feedburner.com/MarleneChapman
I’d like to share with you a wonderful testimonial from Michelle Yanstick and her Black Lab, Sunny, who chose surgery instead of returning to Spirit. To be able to help animals & their people during the most stressful of times is so very fulfilling. It’s why I do what I do. I was honored yesterday by the High Country Writers with a Kaiser (not me)/Coe Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Journalism. The award was for my article, Life Lessons From Labradors, in the Dec/Jan 2011 issue of Animal Wellness Magazine. The award really goes to Hana and Saba, and especially Saba. While I am very proud of my award, the boys would much rather have treats! I’d like to thank the writers group for recognizing my accomplishment.
