Monthly Archives: December 2009

Good-Bye to 2009!

2009 went out like a lion. Since the weekend before Christmas, my beautiful NC mountains have been battered by a blizzard and a horrible ice storm, which came within 4 days of each other. Thanks to my handy, dandy generator, which readers of Letting Go know all about, Hana, Saba and I stayed warm and safe. I had no damage from the horrible winds that followed, so I’d like the thank my angels for looking out for us. My boys are using their smarts to manuver safely around their yard, which has now become a glacier.

Despite arctic temps that are arriving over the weekend and staying for 10 days, I know I’ll be well cared for by my dear Labs. Yesterday, I finally got to see Stormy, who was obviously happy to see me and not just the apples I brought him.

I want to thank everyone who has made 2009 a better year than 2008 for me. As I move further  away from the challenges that occurred when I left my beautiful farm in NJ, I’m able to look forward with optimism to what lies ahead. I am blessed to be able to work with wonderful animals and  people, and I’m blessed to know I’ve helped many by publishing my book.

My wish is for a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2010 for everyone!!!

Apologies

Debbie Kiely was feeling ill, so we had to postpone last night’s interview. I’m sorry if this has  inconvenienced anyone, but it couldn’t be helped. We will reschedule when she’s is feeling better.

Some Clarification Tonight

Debbie Kiely has graciously invited me back to her radio show tonight, Dec. 15th from 5-6 pm EST, to clarify some things that were discussed about rescue animals last Saturday night. Comments from a listener, who fosters rescue animals, alerted me to some confusion I may have created.  I hope you can join us at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/destinydebbie
