BOOK REVIEW!

I am thrilled to post below a recent review of my book, Letting Go: An Ordinary Woman’s Extraordinary Journey of Healing & Transformation, written for the Midwest Book Review by author, Christy Tillery French. Every time I receive such kind words about my writing my heart warms and a smile forms. It very gratifying to feel like you’ve  helped someone recognize their own life lessons and hopefully prevent their need for learning in pain. I wrote to help myself learn from the trauma that confronted me after I moved from my farm in NJ to the NC mountains. I published to help others learn from my “opportunities for learning.” My goal is to get it into the hands of  the people who can most benefit from it. I’m asking for everyone’s help with this. If you or anyone else you know has been challenged by loss, divorce, change, etc. please direct them to my story. I know they’ll find help in places they never thought to look before.

Now, I proudly share Christy Tillery French’s review:

With five short words (“I never wanted this house”), Nancy Kaiser’s world came to a screeching halt. Nancy and her husband Bob had retired to North Carolina, where they planned to build their dream home on a mountain they chose as their special place. Before the house was finished, Bob said these words to Nancy, and from that point on, her world tilted and her life became off-balance. Alone, six hundred miles from family and friends, nothing seemed to go right for Nancy. On her own, she had to face the deaths of dear friends and beloved animal companions, as well as problems which kept cropping up with the house she moved into, all while dealing with the trauma of divorcing her husband.

Although the title describes Nancy as an “ordinary woman”, perhaps a more appropriate nomenclature would be an exceptional person in tune with nature who not only understands the connection between animals and humans but is able to communicate with animals. A woman dedicated to finding her center through spiritual and cerebral means, pitting ego against soul, learning to love herself, trust her decisions, and focus on the positive instead of the negative. This outstanding book leads the reader through Nancy’s soul-searching journey of transformation, from a woman filled with anger and rage and negativity to one who is at peace with herself and her feelings and has learned to let go of the things she cannot control. The reader will feel Nancy’s pain as she struggles and rejoice with her as she begins to progress toward her life’s goal. The lessons learned in this book are of great significance and will gift the reader with a better understanding of “self”. Highly recommended.

I am so grateful to Christy for her wonderful words. She encourages me to continue to focus on getting this book out there for all to see. It can be ordered on my website or other online book sellers. Whatever you can do to help spread the word is greatly appreciated!

Happy 2009!

In an effort to reach out to more people, the animals have encouraged me to write a blog. While I do believe that the people and animals I’m meant to help will find me, I’d like to make their search as easy as possible. So in that vein, I welcome you to the first entry in my blog.

Some entries will be animal oriented while others may lean more towards my experiences and lessons learned over the past 4 1/2 years since leaving my farm in NJ. They’ve been the hardest years of my life, but also the ones that I’ve learned and grown the most from. The details of those experiences and lessons can be found in my recently published book, Letting Go: An Ordinary Woman’s Extraordinary Journey of Healing & Transformation, which is available through my Website.

I invite your comments and questions. I will try to share what wisdom I’ve gained from years of living with some of the most fabulous animal teachers, from 27 years of managing an equine hospital and farm, and from 15+ years of animal communication and healing work.

I have no agenda other than to help as many people and animals as possible live happy lives. Where this blog goes I have no idea. It will be what it needs to be for whomever cares to join me on this new adventure.

Welcome Aboard! Grab the reins and let’s see where this trail leads… .
